Peer reviewed journals (sometimes called refereed journals) require that articles submitted for publication be reviewed by a panel of experts to ensure that the research conforms to the standards of professionals in the field.

Not all scholarly or academic journals are peer reviewed, but peer reviewed journals are considered academic and scholarly.

To find peer reviewed articles, search one of the library databases and select the peer reviewed limiter to filter your results to only include articles from peer reviewed journals.
